Elegance and sophistication are qualities we admire in Hollywood stars of the 1940s and 1950s. Rita Hayworth, Greta Garbo or Marilyn Monroe as symbols of femininity are unparalleled. Interiors inspired by their times and personalities are still popular today. And with a good designer, you can have one too.

The glamour style inspired by the starry period of Hollywood is gaining more and more popularity in our country. It's not for everyone, but successful people who like the sophistication of style want a home that will represent them properly.

One of the specialists in this style on the Czech market is the Tempus Design studio, which designs not only luxury villas, but also modern glamour apartments for famous Instagram faces.

"The glamour style is characterised by a sophisticated combination of contrasts. Luxurious elements in a minimalist space, softness of fabrics and high gloss materials or soft natural tones together with distinctive elements such as the combination of marble and gold or copper," says architect Jiří from Tempus Design.

In his latest design for a generous glamour villa, these elements complement each other to create an airy social space full of timeless elegance. The spatial arrangement is very loose and offers a natural connection between the interior and exterior. The minimalist structure has a light touch of ostentation thanks to the luxurious materials and perfect colour matching with bold metallic accents. The design of the fireplace, embedded in a stone wall with an impressive pattern, is also interesting.

MODERN GLAM

The famous influencer Týna Třešničková, who has decorated her apartment in a modern new building in the glamour style, has also seen the glamour style. The design by Tempus Design Studio is decorated with a combination of marble, golden elements and exotic wood. The high-gloss white kitchen visually harmonises with the living area, which is dominated by a custom-made sofa in velvet.

Týna's apartment also cleverly works with mirrors to make the space feel bigger. Velvet on the chairs and bed, high-pile carpets and designer wallpaper add a sense of luxury. At the same time, it is important not to "overcrowd" the interior. "We also put a lot of emphasis on lighting. This plays both a design role and is designed so that the light helps to create a 'wow effect'. It creates beautiful reflections on shiny surfaces and thus completes the atmosphere. Stylish accessories such as candle holders, vases and bowls are indispensable. Heavy curtains and a bit of extravagance in the form of a significant solitaire or artwork also suit glamour," says architect Šárka, adding: "The strength is in the details. For example, a nice metal sofa base, matching door handles or gold elements in the bathroom instead of the standard chrome. It all adds to the overall impression."

The minimalist bathroom is enlivened with washable wallpaper by Roberto Cavalli. Similarly, bold patterns can be used on carpets or wall panels. Inspiration from fauna and flora or natural stone patterns particularly suits glamour.

The generous dressing room was very important for Tina, who deserves a whole separate room. The wardrobes with their smoked glass doors and gold framing look very elegant and are also practical. Large-format mirrors are a must.

"Quality materials such as stone or exotic wood are totally timeless. The cost is slightly higher, but these materials are sustainable, last for generations and don't deteriorate in 100 years. Modern glamour style is not kitsch and frills, but sophisticated interior design that does not lose its value," concludes architect Šárka from Tempus Design.
