Nikol Leitgeb (35), better known by her maiden name Štíbrová, is a mother of two little rascals, a newlywed wife and a member of the 3in1 party, in which together with Veronika Arichteva (35) and Martina Pártlová (42) she designs original fashion with signs that don't lack their killer wit, has, like her fellow members of the trio, thrown herself into building a family house. While Martina has already finished and Veronika is just getting ready to renovate her old house, Nikol already has a clear idea of her house.

Requirements

Priorities for Nicole were a large kitchen where her husband Petr (35) will cook, connecting the garden with the interior and sustainability. The three-storey house offers a lot of gadgets you won't see elsewhere. The architects managed to combine a modern interior with cosiness and functionality.

"We designed the interior and exterior of the house for Nicole, which was basically designed by her clever mother. We changed the original design slightly to make the best use of the space and used a lot of natural materials, which was particularly important to Nicole."

The L-shaped living room is connected to the kitchen, dining room and study. An interesting feature is the hidden entrance to the bedroom. The bedroom door blends in with the wood decor on the wall. The slats used by the architects are a novelty on the market and perfectly soundproof the interior of the house. "For insulation and excellent acoustic properties, we also used wooden interior slats, which also look great," adds architect Šárka.

The staircase to the first floor originally took up too much space, so the architects integrated it into the kitchen. Not only did they enlarge the entire living room on the ground floor, but the space under the stairs is also effectively used as storage space. "Yes, wine storage," Nicole commented jokingly on this detail.

The kitchen worktop is made of Technistone artificial stone. This material is made from high quality natural raw materials such as granite or quartz. These worktops stand out for their high durability and no porosity, ensuring easy maintenance. The production from recycled materials also fulfils Nicole's wishes.

Bathroom

There are several bathrooms in the house, in all of them wood, concrete trowel and natural shades play the main role. The one adjacent to the master bedroom has both a freestanding bathtub and a shower and two sinks. Upstairs, there is only a shower, but an interesting feature is the floor-to-ceiling window that overlooks the garden.

Nikol and her family definitely have something to look forward to and we applaud not only her taste but also her emphasis on sustainability.
